I am super happy to have the full story of Hannie & Billo published by my favourite photography magazine Fisheye! Three years ago Apolline Coëffet approached me and asked if I wanted to share my story about Hannie & Billo (then the project was called ‘The trail project’). I just finished the first chapter at the academy and wasn’t sure if and when I would continue the search. I decided to continue when I finished the academy, two years later, as it gave me a sense of guidance in a time where I din’t know where to go and how to structure my life. Now after some years, having followed the updates, Apolline and me talked again about all the chapters that followed. I feel very thankful to her for having asked about the search and wanting to follow up on it. Thank you Apolline for our conversations <3
Thank you Hannie & Billo and the album for helping me with many questions in life. And of course Hannie’s family for welcoming me into their homes, sharing the stories of Hannie, making me get to know her even better.
