Collecting cemeteries
Death culture teaches us a lot about how different regions and countries live with their deceased. What are the differences between the cemeteries? How do we decorate the tombstones of our loved ones? How is the space used? What species live at cemeteries? What is written on the tombstones? And what can it teach us about life? These are all questions I ask myself when roaming cemeteries.
These are places full of mysteries and hidden stories. Although I am always cautious of violating the privacy of the dead, I am also curious about the borders of this grey area.
